iQOO has
revealed when its phones in India will receive OriginOS 7, the new
Android 17-based software. The rollout starts at the end of October with the iQOO 15 and will continue until February 2027, covering 13 smartphones across the flagship, Neo and Z series.
The update brings a new interface, smoother animations and several software improvements. It also marks a major change for
iQOO users in India, who can now see when their phones are expected to receive the new software.
When will your iQOO phone get OriginOS 7?
The rollout will happen in stages, with newer flagship phones getting priority. Here is the full schedule announced by iQOO for India.

Keep in mind that these are planned rollout windows, not exact dates. The update may arrive at different times depending on the device and rollout progress. Carrier-exclusive models are also excluded from this schedule, with their update plans to be announced by the relevant carriers.
What does OriginOS 7 bring?
OriginOS 7 is based on Android 17 and introduces changes to the interface, animations and overall software experience. It also brings new AI features and other system improvements designed to make everyday tasks feel smoother.
The iQOO 15 is first in line, which makes sense for the brand's current flagship. The iQOO 13 and iQOO 12 will follow, while several Neo and Z series models will have to wait until December or early 2027.
I think the schedule is useful because it finally gives iQOO owners a clear idea of when to expect the update. However, some users will have a long wait, especially those with Z series phones that are not scheduled to receive OriginOS 7 until February.
The iQOO 16 is also on the way
iQOO has also confirmed that the iQOO 16 will launch in India soon. It is expected to be the brand's first phone in the Indian market to ship with OriginOS 7 already installed.
That means buyers will not have to wait for a separate update to experience the new software. For existing owners, the next step is to keep checking the phone's system update settings as their rollout window approaches.
