India based phone maker to launch Saffron X Linux super phone!

India based SmartNamo have leaked a specifications table of their Saffron X Linux super phone, a possible Ubuntu Edge alternative!

SmartNamo sent out the above specifications sheet which compares it’s Saffron X Linux dual-boot phone against the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4. Any of you thinking the hardware rings a few bells might want to think back to the Ubuntu Edge phone which was announced some weeks back but failed to receive sufficient investment to get of the ground.

The spec sheet reads likes a phone enthusiasts Christmas list and includes 4GB RAM, 128GB memory, Sapphire Glass display, LTE support and an easy to pocket 4.5-inch 720p display.

Whether of not we will actually see the Saffron X go in to production and then on sale remains to be seen, but it is an exciting prospect non-the-less.
