Lenovo have recently
updated their single-core S880i, 5-inch Android
phone to a more powerful dual-core chip and more
RAM to give it more of a fighting chance against the hordes of quad-core
phablets headed to market.
When
Lenovo originally
launched the S880i, the gave the 5-inch
phone a single coreMT6575
CPU and 512MB RAM, but in this day and age those
specs don't quite cut it, so
Lenovo have given the low-cost
phablet a slight update.
Replacing the single core chip is a dual-core MT6577 clocked at 1.2Ghz, and RAM has been boosted to meaty 1GB.
Adding the dual-core chip has not only improved performance, but
Lenovo are claiming the
battery life has improved to with the S880i now getting 2-3 days of standby time and around 710 minutes of talk time with both sims installed!
