China now has its first
humanoid robot 7S store in Wuhan. This store drew quick interest from the moment it opened a few days ago. The store is in the Optics Valley area of the East Lake High-Tech Development Zone.
The
store brings different types of
robots into one place. There are different units. Some can spar, walk on two legs, or move like robotic dogs. During the launch, visitors watched a live show where humanoid
robots performed a Yangko dance.
These robots are not cheap. However, the price range is wide enough for many buyers. Its prices start at 7,999 yuan and rise to 800,000 yuan. This is between $1,125 and $112,474.
More than just a store
The Optics Valley
Humanoid Robot 7S Store is set up to be more than a standard tech shop. The Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Centre created it. It follows a 7S model that expands on the familiar 4S format used in the auto world.
Buyers can explore products, order parts, and get support. They can also give feedback, look through solution guides, and view displays. A cool aspect is that buyers can join training classes. The goal is to give customers an entire path from learning about robotics to owning and maintaining a unit.
Backed by local research and innovation
All robots in the store come from Hubei’s own robotics industry. They are a result of major collaborations. Other teams from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, and several Optics Valley companies had inputs.
Buyers can either pick ready-made units or request custom features. The whole process feels similar to buying a car. There is also a zone for parts such as chips, reducers, and robotic hands.
Most parts can be picked up on the spot. However, special parts may take up to three days to arrive. All parts are made in China. This helps the store maintain stable quality and supply.
A hub for innovation
This store exists because of the Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Centre. This centre was launched on June 4, 2025. The centre is a joint effort by the Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Zone Management Committee, leading experts Ding Han and Liu Sheng, local universities, and industry partners.
It is based in the Optics Valley Digital Economy
Industrial Park and has grown into the largest humanoid robot innovation base in China, covering research, development, and real-world use.
Wuhan’s new store is not only selling robots. It gives people a chance to see, learn, and interact with advanced robotics.
