Samsung Galaxy S9 Not Coming With Under Display Fingerprint Scanner?

A couple of weeks ago, alleged renders of the Samsung Galaxy S9 had appeared. Currently, a report from a South Korean publication hinted that Samsung has chosen to eliminate Under the screen fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy S9, which is rumoured to start mass production in December this year.

Samsung dabbled with under the screen fingerprint technology even with the Galaxy S8, but to no avail. Sources say this was due to certain technical difficulties Samsung faced while implementing the technology.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 began pilot production back in October and is expected to go for mass production in December. Samsung also plans to shift the location of the fingerprint sensor which was earlier placed alongside the camera module, where it wasn't the easiest to access, to a different area on the back. An industry insider said that Samsung does not plan to give up on the tech, but rather will try implementing it in the next , Galaxy Note 9.

Earlier this month, the renders that were leaked showed the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ renders along with their alleged specs. There is no word from Samsung regarding the same, but we can hope to see more and more news coming our way.
