Ever since Xiaomi introduced the concept of lower
cost, lower spec 'Youth' phones, every
Chinese phone maker it seems wants to be part of the movement.
Beidou have have now hinted the
Big Cola 2 will come in 2 configurations.
As with many
Chinese phones, we can't really be 100% sure of the
specifications of a device until it ships. The Beidou
Big Cola 2 is no exception and accurate specification
details are still being disputed even internally!
The latest
rumours now confirm that there will be 2 versions of the
Big Cola 2, both of which will run a
quad-core MT6589 processor and 5-inch 720HD display. The entry-level 999 Yuan ($160)
Big Cola 2 Youth will sport 1GB
RAM and between 4-8GB ROM and will either ship with a 8 mega-pixel or
13 mega-pixel rear sensor. The premium model will
cost slightly more at 1199 Yuan ($192) and will receive 2GB RAM, 16GB of ROM and a
13 mega-pixel camera.
The design looks very similar to the Neo N003, UMi X2 and Hero H7500+. No details on release time yet so please keep posted.
