China’s PhoneOne is a $125 5.3 AMOLED Android Phone!

Chinese phone makers are really making the most of current price cuts in top quality hardware, and rather than bumping up profits for themselves are passing on savings to us! Check out the PhoneOne for example a $125 Chinese phone with 5.3inch Amoled screen!

AMOLED screens have been around for a while now, but even still seem to catch of premium and are usually reserved for more costlier phones, but that’s not the case for th PhoneOne which costs just 799 Yuan ($125) and gets a rather large 5.3 inch AMOLED screen!

For that kind of price you are going to be expecting some corners to be cut and you would be right!

The resolution for example is only 480 x 800 then the camera are shockingly poor for such a modern phone with the rear camera being only a 3.2 mega-pixel unit while the front is a 0.3 MP camera.

There is an MTK MT6573 CPU along with a PowerVR SGX 531, 4GB ROM and support for a 32Gb micro SD card, however those poor cameras really do let the package down!

The only saving grace for the PhoneOne is the fact it is an Amoled android phone for such a low price, but if I were you I would go for one of the similar priced Chinese phones on the market which get an equally good screen, better cameras and the dual-core MT6577 CPU.
