Confirmed: Umi X2 IS delayed but scheduled for April launch

Speaking with our contacts today we have fully confirmed that the UMi X2 is delayed, but is scheduled for an April launch.

This weekend we reported that the UMi X2 would be delayed due to an optimisation problem with running 2GB RAM with the quad-core MT6589 processor. After posting the article we were inundated with emails, comments and Facebook messages asking us if the reports are true. Today we managed to get on the phone with our contact at UMi (a manager at the company) to confirm the delay.

Our contact at UMi confirms that the UMi X2 has been delayed, but that they are working to optimise the phone and hope to launch the X2 by April.

I have also asked our contact to confirm a few details regarding international availability, and he promises to get back to me as soon as possible.
