Meizu goes global with five new phones, AR glasses, and wearables

Meizu has officially launched five new smartphones and two wearables as part of its global expansion strategy. The launch, held online today, follows Meizu’s presence at MWC 2025 and its ongoing partnership with Geely. The company released five new phones, including the Meizu Mblu 22, Mblu 22 Pro, Note 22, Note 22 5G, and Note 22 Pro 5G. These mobile phones are pretty cheap, between $80 and $380, offering features that are attractive for their price points.

The Meizu Mblu 22 is designed for everyday use. It has a 6.79-inch HD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, a large 5,000mAh battery, and a camera with a bright F1.8 aperture. Under the hood, it draws power from the Unisoc SC9863A SoC. This is a 28nm octa-core processor. The price of this device is between $79 to $89, well within the reach of an average user.

The Mblu 22 Pro steps things up with a MediaTek Helio G81 chip, a sharper 6.79-inch FHD+ display at 120Hz, and a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor. This model also features a more durable design and will be priced between $99 and $129.

The Meizu Note 22 is the least advanced model in the Note series. However, it is more advanced than the Mblu 22 or 22 Pro. It comes with a triple rear camera setup, which as a 108MP main lens. This device also comes with a huge 6600 mAh, something we don't see on an everyday smartphone and supports 40W fast charging.

It sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The company says this device targets users who want strong performance and good visuals, priced from $179 to $299.

The Note 22 5G adds faster connectivity and up to 24GB of RAM. It keeps the stylish look and a capable 50MP camera setup with AI enhancements, with prices ranging from $169 to $229.

The Note 22 Pro 5G is the most advanced model, with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, 6200mAh battery, 80W fast charging, and Flyme AIOS that adapts to user habits. This phone will cost between $299 and $369.

The StarV View AR glasses offer a 188-inch 120Hz display and myopia support, weighing just 74g. The idea behind this device is privacy, something that people can use to watch videos privately.

In addition, the company also launched the StarV Ring2. This smart ring device focuses on health and tracks workouts, heart rate and sleep. It runs on FlymeOS, which allows users to control their phones or glasses with simple gestures. It is also water-resistant (IP68).

The Meizu five new phones, as well as the smart glasses and ring, will first launch in Russia, Spain, Malaysia, and Vietnam. The company will also release these devices in over 30 countries. Meizu's CMO, Cheng Li, said the brand’s "All in AI" strategy will guide future product development, combining hardware and software into a connected ecosystem built around user needs.
