Earlier today at an
event in
Beijing,
Qualcomm announced that their top-of-the-range
Snapdragon 800 processor will go in to full
production late May!
Currently the Snapdragon 600 is found in flagship phones like the S4 and
Xiaomi M2S, the
new Snapdragon 800 with
updated architecture is thought to be heading for a
new ZTE device and possibly the Xiaomi Mi3 and
Oppo Find 6!
Although demo units were at hand at the
Beijing press conference testers were banned from trying out benchmarking
software, but judging from the
updated Krait 400 architecture, Ardreno 330 graphics and FlexRender technology the
new chip should be capable of something spectacular! Infact Qualcomm themselves have announced the 800 could be clocked at 2.3Ghz and capable of 30fps
4K playback!
