While most
news bits coming from the
Samsung stable revolve around the
Galaxy S5, a much more wallet-friendly
device just managed to grab our attention.
A lot of the internals remain unchanged, but something that matters most --
processor -- receives a bump with the Galaxy S3 mini Value Edition. Internally addressed as GT-I8200, the Galaxy S3 mini Value Edition now comes with a 1.2GHz dual-core
processor to make the
device better compatible with today's standards.
Apart from the
processor overhaul, the S3 mini Value Edition now features Android v4.2 Jelly Bean out of the
box. Everything else remains the same -- there's the same 4-inch 800 x 480p display, 1GB RAM, 8GB on-board storage, 5 mega-pixel / VGA camera duo, and a 1,500mAh battery.
This upgrade makes the device comparable to other Samsung phones like the iconic Galaxy S2, the Galaxy S Advance, etc. which come with a similar specs sheet. The S3 mini Value Edition can be bought by folks in the Netherlands for €180 ($249).
