THL are entering the big phone market big time with their new THL W6 Android phone with 5.3 inch screen! Could this be a competitor to the popular Zopo ZP900? Keep reading for full details and pricing.
THL recently announced that they are to launch an all new dual-core phone named the THL W6 which promises to offer the benefits of a larger screen and performance of a dual-core CPU to phone shoppers on a budget.
The THL W6 actually manages to come equipped with some suprisingly good hardware such as front 2 mega-pixel camera, rather than a VGA unit which is found on other Chinese phones, which sits above the 5.3 inch IPS screen with a resolution of 960 x 540!
A dual-core MediaTek MT6577 CPU with 1GB RAM runs the phone and there is 4GB ROM along with space for a micro SD card for storing your apps, games, movies and music.
THL have also equipped their large 5.3 inch THL W6 with an 8 mega-pixel rear camera with LED flash and auto-focus and a 2300 mAH battery, while Android ICS 4.0 comes as standard.
Looking at the specification and the images of the it seems that the W6 might actually be an OEM from Zopo (the Zopo ZP900) but without seeing one in the flesh it's hard to know for sure.
Expect THL to launch the W6 later this month with prices set at 1699 Yuan ($268)
