Chatting to our sources today we discovered that the
UMi X2 has secretly gone on
sale, but in a previously unannounced Youth version sporting 1GB
RAM!
The main issue with the
UMi X2, and what is delaying it's
launch is a problem between running the
quad-core MT6589 processor and 2GB
RAM. We at
Gizchina, along with many readers and commenters have wondered why UMi did just
launch a 1GB 'Youth' version of the X2, and now it seems that they have!
Apparently
Antelife have got hold of just 40 x UMi
X2 quad-core smartphones with 1GB
RAM and are offering them for
sale right now. Other than less RAM, the only differences we can see is that this version of the
X2 is running
Android 4.1 rather than 4.2, and both the white and grey options are available!
We contacted
Antelife to see if the
news is true and they say it is an have offered
Gizchina readers a $7 discount when using this code:
saleumix2 which is just as wells as this youth version
UMi X2 costs $259.99.
