The Hasee E50 goes on
sale in
China this month and at a
cost of only $148 it is the world’s cheapest
phone with
2GB RAM!
After months of speculation
Hassee have finally announced their first few
Android smartphones for the Chinese Mainland market consisting of 2 low-
cost phones for budget conscious consumers.
But it is the Hasee Ling Ya E50 which grabs our attention the most due to it’s low price tag and surprisingly logical specifications.
Hassee have produced the E50 to compete with the Xiaomi Hongmi, Huawei Honor 3C and the soon to
launch iOcean phone, but what the
Hassee offers that the other phones do not is
2GB RAM! The extra
RAM helping the
phone to run multiple process and applications open while remaining smooth in operation.
Other hardware highlights include a 8-inch 1280 x 720 IPS display, 16GB onboard memory, 2000mAh battery, 1.3Ghz
quad-core MT6582 chipset, 5 mega-pixel front camera and
13 mega-pixel rear.
The E50 will be available in 6 colours and runs
Android 4.2 with a MIUI influenced
user interface. If the $148 Hasee Ling Ya E50 is still a little rich, then Hasee will also offer a dual-core
phone with 4.5-inch display and 512mb
RAM for just 399 Yuan ($65).
