Realme GT 8 Pro Certification Reveals Battery and Charging Details

Realme is getting ready for one of its biggest launches of the year. The Realme GT 8 Pro will debut alongside the Realme GT 8 in October. Ahead of the event, the Pro model has been spotted in China’s certification listings. The documents confirm one major detail: support for 120W wired charging.

This is the same speed as last year’s flagship, which is good news for fans. Some early leaks had suggested a drop to 100W, but that worry can now be put to rest. Realme will keep its ultra-fast charging tech alive for another generation.

The certification also hints at a huge battery. As per the leaks, the Realme GT 8 Pro will ship with a cell that begins with the number 7. That makes it one of the biggest batteries ever in a Realme flagship. While it may not reach the 8,000 mAh size that some rumors claimed, even a 7,000 mAh pack is more than enough to stand out. A battery that large could make this one of the best phones for long gaming sessions or heavy use on the go.

Some rumors from China suggest the phone will also include wireless charging. If true, this would make the Realme GT 8 Pro one of the first Realme devices to combine a high-capacity battery with both wired and wireless fast charging.

Inside, the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, the same processor expected in most premium phones next year. The device is also tipped to have a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, a 6.78-inch QHD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 16GB of RAM. It will run Android 16 with Realme UI 7 straight out of the box.

The mix of a large battery, fast charging, and top-tier hardware suggests Realme wants the Realme GT 8 Pro to compete directly with the best Android flagships. We should know the full picture once the phone launches in October.
