So, Oppo has set
October 16, 2025, to unveil the
Find X9 series. And thanks to
Digital Chat Station, we already have a pretty good look at what the
Find X9 5G might pack. Honestly, some of this is… exciting.
Display and Performance
At the core is
MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500—their newest top-tier chip. It’s meant to compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. On paper, that’s impressive, but we all know chips alone don’t tell the full story. The
6.59-inch flat OLED display with
1.5K resolution and
120Hz refresh rate should feel buttery smooth. Gamers? You’ll probably notice the difference, at least in high-frame-rate titles.
Cameras: Lots of Pixels, Lots of Promise
Oppo is reportedly packing three 50MP cameras:
- Main: Sony LYT808
- Ultra-wide: JN5
- Periscope zoom: LYT600
Plus, a 2MP True Chroma sensor for more accurate colors. Front camera? 32MP in a punch-hole. And yes, Hasselblad tuning. Will it make your Instagram photos pop? Hopefully. I’ll admit, I’m curious about the periscope zoom—sometimes specs are great, but actual zoom performance can disappoint.
Battery and Features
Here’s something wild: 7,025mAh battery. That’s huge. Pair it with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, and top-ups shouldn’t feel painful. Other goodies include:
- Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
- ColorOS 16 on Android 16
- IP69 rating
Honestly, the battery alone makes this phone stand out. Not many flagships come close.
Global Launch
Oppo says both Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will debut globally soon, likely around October 28. So, if you were thinking of pre-ordering elsewhere, the wait isn’t long.
My Take
If you’re into Android flagships, this one looks tempting. Massive battery, high-end processor, triple cameras with Hasselblad tuning—what’s not to like? Then again, real-world performance always matters more than numbers. Will it handle heat well? Will the cameras deliver as promised? Time will tell. Still, for now, the Find X9 is shaping up to be a strong contender.
