Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, and new reports suggest it will arrive with a slimmer design than many expected. According to Roland Quandt, the upcoming model will be thinner than the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. This will mark one of the biggest design changes in Samsung’s premium tablet line. Despite being thinner, the new device is still set to carry a larger battery and a stronger chipset. This is quite interesting because the device will be both lighter in hand and more powerful overall.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra: Slim but Strong

The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra was already known for its sleek body, but the S11 Ultra will push this further. Reports claim the tablet’s thickness will drop from 5.4 mm to about 5 mm. This change is part of Samsung’s wider effort to refresh the look of its Ultra-branded tablets. Even with this slimmer frame, Samsung is not cutting corners on performance or battery life.

A Bigger Battery for Longer Use

Samsung has decided to make the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra the first Ultra tablet to include a larger battery. The company will use a huge 11,600 mAh battery on this tablet. Though larger, it is not a major upgrade compared to its predecessor, as it is only a 4% increase.

Display Changes and Camera Tweaks

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is expected to keep its 14.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels. However, the company will make a little change to the front camera design. In previous models, you’ll notice two front-facing cameras, but this time, Samsung has decided to remove one of them. By removing the extra lens, the company can get rid of the notch, leaving the screen cleaner and more modern-looking.

Which Chipset Will Power It?

One area that remains unclear is the chipset. Early leaks suggested Samsung would use the new Dimensity 9400+, following the Dimensity 9300+ in last year’s model. However, some reports now point to the regular Dimensity 9400 instead. Since both versions carry the same internal name (MT6991), it is still possible that the 9400+ will make it into the final product

Expected Launch

The launch date for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra isn’t out yet, but from the look of things, it’s either going to happen later this year or early next year. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed and hope that Samsung doesn’t take too long to release this amazing device.
