I'm ashamed to admit that the Booklet (a
3G net book) managed to avoid my radar, however if this is meant to be a 1:1 recreation of the product I'm not all that bothered I've never heard of this looking net book till now. The pictured here is, as always, from Shenzhen and cost a remarkable 1300 Yuan. Sure there are cheaper net books on the market but this one gives you 3G connectivity, an case and a 10.1 inch screen which can fold completely flat (useful for holding the the computer up like a book for reading ebooks).
There's also a 1.66 Ghz Intel Atom CPU in there with a GMA 3150 graphics chip, 1 Gb of RAM (expandable to 2Gb) and a 160Gb hard drive. As mentioned above the rather (in my opinion) shell is
alloy, which gives the a nice sturdy feel, with a blue cover, ala . The sturdy chassis is a little bulky in comparison to the original Booklet, but it houses all he usual net book and plugs, 2 x USB, an SD card reader, ethernet and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. You'll also find a 3.5 mm headphone jack, but no VGA or HDMI out, which does kind of make sense for a made to be so portable and used on the go, but we'd still like the option. Speaking of on the go a 2200MAh is enclosed in the shell, which is said to give a rather poor 2 hour life.
