TECNO POVA 8 5G Officially Launches With 8,000mAh Battery, 144Hz Display, and Practical AI Features

TECNO has officially introduced the new TECNO POVA 8 5G, a smartphone focused on battery life, gaming performance, and AI-powered tools for everyday use. The device features a massive 8,000mAh battery, a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, and a unique customizable Alive Matrix Display on the back.
According to TECNO, the TECNO POVA 8 5G is designed to deliver up to two days of battery life while offering improved connectivity, gaming performance, and useful AI features.
TECNO POVA 8 5G Brings Massive Battery and Gaming Performance
The biggest highlight of the TECNO POVA 8 5G is its huge 8,000mAh battery. TECNO says the battery can provide up to two days of use and maintains more than 80% battery health after 2,000 charging cycles, which translates to roughly six years of use.
The battery is also designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C. According to the company, users can get more than 60 hours of calls, over 85 hours of music playback, and nearly 30 hours of YouTube viewing on a single charge.
Performance and Display
The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G processor. TECNO says the chip can maintain stable 90FPS gameplay in titles such as Honor of Kings and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
The company also included two in-house chips designed to improve connectivity. The G1 Signal Enhancement Chip boosts cellular reception in challenging areas, while the SE1 Wi-Fi Enhancement Chip improves 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi performance.
The smartphone features a 144Hz eye-care display with TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification and military-grade shock resistance.
For photography, the TECNO POVA 8 5G comes with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main camera and a 13MP front camera. TECNO says the camera system offers improved light capture and supports 2x lossless zoom.
Practical AI Features and Long-Term Software Support
TECNO is also focusing heavily on AI tools with the TECNO POVA 8 5G. One of the standout features is AI YouTube Summary, which can analyze YouTube links and generate structured notes with key points and timestamps.
The device also supports AI-powered noise cancellation for calls and recordings, along with AI LightMaster 2.0 for improving photos by removing unwanted reflections and shadows. In select markets, users can access AI Health features that use facial scanning technology to measure heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and breathing rate.
