Vivo is slowly building up its Vivo T5 series which will be composed of five smartphones in total. The lineup includes the Vivo T5 4G which was unveilled in May. The next in line for a reveal is the Vivo T5 5G. Today, the company shared new details about the phone.

Vivo T5 5G Teased as Ultra-Thin Smartphone with Curved 3D Display

According to Vivo, the Vivo T5 5G will have "Faster AI with GenAI Ready NPU" and a 3D curved display. Moreover, the phone's teaser also mentions its impressive "Ultra Slim Body". Apparently, we're still pursuing the ultra-thin trend. While the exact dimensions are yet to be revealed, Flipkart's Microsite teases it as "under 7.99mm"
For now, we have more marketing words and some visual teasers. For instance, Vivo India posted on its official X account, that the phone will feature a horizontally algined camera island on its rear, like the Vivo S2. Unfortunately, there is no confirmation on how many cameras will sit in this horizontal island.
The official details of the new smartphone will be available in a couple of days. Vivo promised to share more details about the new phone on August 25 at 12 PM Indian time.

Key Points

  • Vivo has officially started teasing the upcoming Vivo T5 5G in India.
  • The smartphone will feature a 3D curved display, touted as one of the slimmest in its segment.
  • The T5 5G is expected to measure just 7.99mm thick, giving it a notably slim profile.
  • Vivo is also teasing a GenAI-ready NPU for faster AI-powered features and processing.
  • The phone will run OriginOS 6.
  • The Vivo T5 5G is expected to sit alongside the existing T5 4G, T5x 5G, T5 Pro 5G, and T5 Lite 5G in Vivo's expanding T5 family.
  • Vivo has yet to reveal the complete specifications and official launch date.
Only time will tell if this date actually stands as the launch date, or if it's just a hint of when the next teaser will drop. In any case, we expect the new mid-range device to arrive in less than one month.
We are curious to see how this device will be positioned in Vivo`s portfolio. It`s nice to see that while the brand is clearly focused in the next batch of flagships, it keeps the mid-range lineup alive and kicking.
