Earlier this month,
Vivo launched the Vivo Y500. It comes with a Dimensity 7300 processor and a large 8,200mAh battery. Now, Vivo is getting ready to release the Pro variant in China. Product Manager Han Boxiao revealed that the
Vivo Y500 Pro will be the first Y-series phone with a 200-megapixel main camera. I
t's an interesting twist for the budget-focused smartphone brand.
Vivo Y500 Pro Camera Details
Boxiao said that after the success of the Vivo Y500, Vivo plans to launch the Y500 Pro before the end of the year. The new phone will have a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 main camera with an f/1.88 lens. This makes it one of the strongest cameras in the Y-series.
At the same time, the Vivo X300 series will arrive in China on October 13. It will also have a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB camera. This is a special version and an upgrade from the older Samsung HP9 200-megapixel sensor.
The Y500 Pro looks like a slightly updated or rebranded version of the
Vivo V60e. The V60e is expected to launch in India in October. It will also feature a 200-megapixel main camera.
Vivo V60e Expected Specs
Reports suggest the V60e will have a 120Hz AMOLED display and an IP68/69 water and dust resistance rating. The front camera may be 50 megapixels, while the back will have a 200MP + 8MP dual-camera setup.
Inside, the phone could come with the Dimensity 7360-Turbo chip and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging. It is likely to run on FunTouch OS 15 based on Android 15. Users can expect up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, making it a strong choice for performance and photography.
We expect more details to be disclosed soon about the Vivo Y500. Vivo certainly will share some teaser as the launch draws near.
