Xiaomi just gave out a new upgrade to Super Island(The notification hub built into
HyperOS)! This time, the
focus is on making it easier to get back to pickup and locker codes when you need them quickly.
A quicker way to save codes
The update adds a three-finger swipe that can pull information such as a food pickup code or package locker code onto Super Island. Once it's there, the code stays visible so you don't have to jump back into the app that originally displayed it.
Do it while looking at something like a food pickup code or a package locker code, and it gets pulled straight onto the Super Island, staying visible instead of buried inside an app. It's a small thing, but it solves a real annoyance fumbling to reopen an app and find a code while a cashier or delivery locker is waiting on you. And that is in my opinion a life saver!
You can now choose which apps appear
Xiaomi has also added a central settings menu for Super Island. It lets users decide which apps can send information to the floating hub.
That gives users more say over what ends up there. With support for dozens of apps, that's a useful add, cause it stops the island from getting filled with notifications you don't actually care about, keeping only the useful stuff.
Super Island keeps getting new features
Super Island first appeared in August 2025 alongside
HyperOS 3. Since then, the company has continued adding to it.
Support for scanning McDonald's pickup QR's directly onto Super Island was added last month. Xiaomi says that it works with more than 60 apps and covers over 75 everyday use cases. It's also available on more than 410 million active devices. I for one wonder how usefull Super island is gonna be in the future with all these upgrades.
HyperOS 4 could take it further
There's more on the way, too. Xiaomi is probably going to upgrade Super Island with HyperOS 4, with support going to more than 130 apps. The company is also expected to bring features such as live navigation and delivery tracking to the island.
If those additions arrive , Super Island will to become much more than a place for unwanted notifs. For now, though, Xiaomi is continuing to build it around quick access to information.
