Xiaomi’s Redmi brand will launch the Redmi K100 in China on October 27, 2026, at 7 PM local time. The company has confirmed a 6.83-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The standard K-series model will also be the first in its category to feature a dedicated D2 gaming chip.
The phone is already available for pre-order in China ahead of its official debut. However, Xiaomi has yet to reveal the full specifications or final price.

Redmi K100 Pairs a 165Hz Display With Gaming Features

The Redmi K100 has a flat 6.83-inch display that supports native frame rates of up to 165 FPS in more than 40 games. It also offers a 480Hz touch sampling rate for multi-finger input, with an instant sampling rate of up to 3,500Hz.
Xiaomi claims the screen can reach a local peak brightness of 3,500 nits. It also uses the company’s Qingshan 4.0 eye protection technology.
These are high figures, but the 165 FPS mode will only work in games that support such frame rates. It does not mean every game will run at 165 FPS.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gets Help From a D2 Gaming Chip

Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 8 Elite in October 2024, so it is not the company’s latest chip generation. The Redmi K100’s dedicated D2 chip is the more unusual addition, bringing a separate gaming processor to the standard K-series model for the first time.

According to Xiaomi, the D2 handles hardware-based upscaling and frame generation. These features can take some graphics work away from the main processor.
The company says the phone uses 1.1W less power on average when running Honor of Kings at 144 FPS with the highest graphics settings. This result comes from one specific game and test setup, so it does not guarantee the same savings in other titles.

Redmi K100 Price and Other Expected Specs

The Redmi K100 will run Xiaomi HyperOS 4. The company says the software improves system resource allocation, memory preloading and the performance of its own apps.
Xiaomi has also shown a Firefly Green color option and confirmed sound tuning developed in cooperation with Bose. The same event will introduce the Redmi Clip Neo open-ear wireless earbuds.
