Xiaomi 13 vs iPhone 14 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy S22: Design Comparison

The Xiaomi 13 has been the talk of the town for several months. On December 11, it was finally out. All our expectations were met. The standard version of the series changed the design of the previous generation. Now, it adopts the straight edge + straight screen solution. We have to admit that the design team has worked well. This allows the phone to make competition with the iPhone 14 and the Samsung Galaxy S22. It’s a true premium smartphone that challenges the kings.

Chinese bloggers do not stop comparing the Xiaomi 13 with the mentioned models. So we do. The first comparison refers to the Xiaomi 13 and the iPhone 14 Pro.

The Xiaomi model adopts a centered single-hole design. Its frame is 1.61mm on three sides. But the chin is 1.81mm wide, which means it differs from the rest three by 0.2mm. That’s not difficult to guess this is the world’s thinnest chin smartphone.

Other than that, the 0.2mm difference is not visible to the naked eye. So the overall visual experience is great. We should also mention that the frame is significantly narrower than that of the iPhone.

Looking at the photos below, we can see that the Xiaomi 13 beats the iPhone 14 Pro in terms of look. This is especially true for the front. Its narrower borders, higher screen-to-body ratio, and punch-hole design look better than the iPhone 14 Pro with Dynamic Island.

Another thing to note is that although the Mi 13 has a straight screen, it is not as thorough as the iPhone. The corners are rounded on the edge of the glass. This means the angles won’t “cut” the palm when holding. The same is not true for the iPhone 14 Pro.

Anyway, we can’t insist that the back design of the Xiaomi 13 is better than the iPhone 14 Pro. It’s a matter of taste. We know that many users like the independent lens design of the iPhone. On the other hand, there are many users that think the Xiaomi 13 brings a sense of fragmentation.

But there is also a small detail we should point out. The back panel of the Xiaomi 13 is made of 2.5D glass. It fits the palm more softly when holding it.

Many people do not recognize other brands but Samsung and Apple. It’s logical – these two have been leading the industry for decades. But when there are smartphones that come with much better features, they have to admit it. For instance, when we say that the Xiaomi 13 is the best-looking smartphone today, it’s not our opinion but a fact. To prove this, let’s compare the border of the Xiaomi handset and your favorite Samsung Galaxy S22.

As said, the Xiaomi 13 has a chin of only 1.81mm, while the chin of the Samsung Galaxy S22 is 1.95mm, and the chin of the iPhone 14 Pro is 2.15mm. Want more? The left and right borders of the Xiaomi 13 have reached 1.61mm, and the screen-to-body ratio has reached 93.3%, which is narrower than the iPhone 14 Pro.
