Oppo Find 5 sells out online in just a few hours!

Today is the day many of us have been waiting for, the date the Oppo Find 5 goes on sale, but it seems to many of us have bee waiting, as online resellers are already reporting no stock!

Pre-orders for the Oppo Find 5 began a few weeks ago with the Oppo website and official Oppo stockist accepting deposits for the flagship 5-inch phone, and while we hope those who did pre-order get your phones, we’re pretty sure anyone hoping to get one online or in store today is going to be seriously out of luck!

Gizchina News of the week

One of China’s largest online resellers, 360buy.com is already showing the Find 5 as unavailable despite only being on sale for a few hours! Physical stores aren’t set to open for a few more minutes but we expect quite a few hopeful Oppo fans will take the day off work to try and bag a Find 5.

After speaking to authorized Oppo dealers this weekend as well as our sources at Oppo in Shenzhen, it is not expected for the Find 5 to be available in larger quantities until after Chinese New Year, which means most fans might have to wait until closer to March or possibly even later!

I really feel like Oppo as a company is lied to their customers. They didn’t honor their online reservations, nor did they honor the deposits made at their Shenzhen store.

Neither avenue yielded a phone today. Yet, as recently as yesterday they continue to SPAM me with SMS messages encouraging me to go down to the store in Shenzhen for the launch time (at 10am) to NOT get a phone.

Their treatment of me as a customer has soured me on the company.

I heard from someone who had 4 “O-Keys” (the codes needed to buy the Find 5 online) however as he used them the site crashed and now Oppo are saying the codes have been used but he hasn’t managed to book a phone!

Do you think that u get the phone in Taobao? I can see that several suppliers in taobao have in stock. Can u trust them?

How many did they really make? More like the Nexus 4 scam.
