This coming Monday, 14th April, the octacore JiaYu G4S will officially go onsale in China, International customers will be able to preorder the phone starting this weekend with the price set at $210.
Even as a quad-core MT6589T smartphone, the JiaYu G4 was and still is one of the better Mediatek devices to ever go on sale! The new version of the JiaY G4, the G4S, will build on the already amazing build quality and thoughtful design, by adding the power of a 1.7Ghz MT6592 octacore chipset with Mali 450 GPU in place of the quad-core unit.
The update in processing power should help the G4S be quite the performer considerting the 720p display and 2GB RAM (in the top of the range version).

Phone is good, but for that price they could install better camera sensor ,maybe Omnivision and make jpeg -uncompressed. It could be fine for that price. I’m using Dakele Big Cola 2s, it has much better camera than any Jiayu device.

I ordered it from Spemall, and as if Spemall also have the Dakele Big Cola 2S, you can go to their home page to have a look . Both them are great phones, but i like the Jiayu G4s octa core, waiting for it .

yeah i saw the price yesterday, but ordered it today at higher price, strange. Another bizare thing about spemall is that they state sheeping is free but when paying it is not for items over $80
I found the G4 quite flexible and broke several screens just with the phone in my pocket after never breaking a screen before. Also the GPS was quite inaccurate. If they fix both of these problems I might be interested but not until then

Yes, about 26K on mine. It seems durable so far after a week, the metal band around the display makes it solid. Great build quality for a $200 phone (and with a fairly advanced CPU with smooth performance).
I have bought this phone, original want to buy Xiaomi 3 in spemall, but it’s a little expensive, so finally bought the Octacore Jiayu g4s , suitable price with good configuration, I am looking forward to it !

YES, it is correct ! I confirmed with Spemall staff, and they confirmed with the Jiayu Factory. And i ordered it yesterday !

Did anybody get their G4S from Spemall yet? I ordered on 15 April, phone was listed as “in stock for immediate shipment” and I did not even get a tracking number so far. Is this one of those tricks where sellers list something in stock when it really is pre-sale?

Yes! I eventually did get it after about 9 days, Spemall took their time but no other issues, I don’t see what the badmouthing i all about. Actual DHL shipping was only about 30 hours door to door, impressive! Quite happy with my G4S, I could nitpick, but I have to smile when I browse on the top-notch display or or see the battery at 65 % after a normal work day. My first Chinese Droid and amazing value for money.
