Zopo’s officially Facebook page has been updated with an image of an upcoming smartphone that will use a Mediatek MT6595 processor.

The race is on for Chinese smartphone manufacturers to launch a device running the latest Mediatek MT6595 processor. This time around it is a little different as the new MT6595 is a chipset which astonishing features that could finally be a viable alternative to a Snapdragon 801 processor.

The rumour mills are full of news attaching Meizu to the MT6595, it also looks as though IUNI could be using the processor too, but both of these companies haven’t actually come out and confirmed it. Zopo on the other hand has.

Gizchina News of the week

Apparently the next flagship Zopo will run a 2.0Ghz version of the MT6596, with LTE support and 3GB RAM. It remains to be seen if Zopo will jump on board the QHD display wagon or not.

While it is exciting to see new phones in development, I am sure there are plenty of current Zopo smartphone owners who would much prefer the company work on ROM development and bug fixes.

I have bought Zopo 980+ (mtk6592) and it had a terrible flash. I will never again paid that amount of money to get a faulty phone.

Zopo ZP998 Running the official Kitkat is spot on… 🙂 If this next phone has a good size screen (either 5″ or 5.5″) and is of similar money as previous Zopo flagship phones then I’d buy one!

Let’s hope they don’t go for QHD 2k Resolution, and mantain in the “eyes-can-se” FHD. I guess Zopo is no prepared for 2k yet, just because of battery department, Zopo 998 Battery Life is a shame.

99% of my Zopos I purchased directly from Zopomobileshop and i’ve never had any issues with any of the units. My ZP998 came from DinoDirect, only because a family member recommened them based on price, and the unit to date has been flawless in all aspects with the only issue being battery life since the KitKat Update.
I’m not a fanboy i’ll only stick to a brand until they fail me and for the past 4-5yrs I haven’t experienced anything near what others reported with the only manual dowload being done on my end being the KitKat update.
So I’ll be looking foward to what next they have to offer!
