The
iPhone 18 Pro is officially here, and
Apple is giving its latest Pro models a noticeable color refresh.
Pre-orders open this Saturday, September 12, at 12 AM PT.
Apple unveiled the full
iPhone 18 lineup at its September 9 event. The Pro models get four finishes this year: Black, Silver, Glacier, and Burgundy. That is one more option than last year's
iPhone 17 Pro lineup.
Black is back
The biggest change may be the return of Black. Apple dropped the color from last year's Pro models, but it is now back for the
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
It is also the safest choice in the lineup. Black works with almost any case and keeps the familiar Pro look. Silver is still around too, giving buyers a more classic option.
Burgundy and other's
Burgundy is the more eye-catching choice this year. Apple is using a deep red-wine shade for the new finish, making it the closest thing to a standout color in the lineup.
It also fills a role similar to Cosmic Orange on last year's iPhone 17 Pro. That color was hard to miss, while Burgundy takes a darker and more muted approach.
Glacier goes in the opposite direction. It is a soft, icy light blue that gives the lineup a cooler look. With Burgundy, it also makes the new Pro models feel less limited to the usual black and silver choices.
More choice this year
The iPhone 17 Pro came in only three colors, so Apple is expanding the range with the new generation. The return of Black is also notable after it was left out last year.
That gives the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max four distinct finishes to choose from. Black and Silver keep things familiar, while Glacier and Burgundy offer something a little different.
For buyers who care about the look of their phone, the extra choice is a welcome change. And if Black was the color you missed on the iPhone 17 Pro, Apple is bringing it back this time.
