Will you be pre-ordering the $419 Zopo ZP999 Lion Heart?

zopo zp999

Today begins the first round of pre-sales for the LTE equipped, MT6595, Zopo ZP999. Are you panning to order the latest Zopo?

The Zopo ZP999 Lion Heart is no official! The specifications are announced, the price is announced and international pre-sales have started. From the hardware that Zopo are offering in their 5.5-inch phone it is clear that they believe they have a phone that is capable of trading blows with the Meizu MX4.

Gizchina News of the week

We’re not so sure about that, but the hardware does look good and includes 3GB RAM, 32GB memory, dual SIM, LTE, removable battery, 14 mega-pixel F2.0 camera and octacore MT6595 processor.

Pre-orders for the phone have started at $419 to international customers, and the first lot of pre-sales will come with a free Bluetooth speaker, screen protector and case.

Will you be ordering the second ever MT6595 phone, or are you going to put your purchase on hold for a while?

Too expensive for me, at such price better to buy Xiamo, Lenovo, TCL, Huawei …

On the other hand , Doogee , Zopo. and UMi are not names that could sell so high prices, even the MTK6595… just my opinion

For the love of God pls stop spending our time and especially YOUR time writing, commenting, promoting and TOTALY comparing ZOPO with the top Brands. It’s ridiculous really. Let Zopo take their lesson… ignorance.

Oh and my answer. No!!! I won’t even consider to preorder it, neither buy it

+1 for this guy. Why buy a phone from a company that does not care about their customer? You can buy a better phone with that much money seriously

I’d say THL are just as bad if not quite a bit worse… Theres sooo many MTK6592 Octacore THL devices out there without the 4.4 Kitkat update and they’ll not get it either… At least Zopo made some sort of effort toward releasing a Kitkat update for the ZP998!

We discuss about pricing and what you get. We don’t compare brands. THL prices are good for what it sells. THL 5000 is the only really expensive phone but also the only with humongus battery – specs in the market. Noone used 6592T til then. THL T6s is like buying a cup of coffee. You buy it and you don’t expect more than just minor upgrades.

419$ (maybe more on resellers) this is a real steal. THL deserves the money for some models, Zopo not at all on this phone.

And about the 4.4 kitkat. Don’t blame only the brands…mediatek shares the major part of the problem. And the bad thing is that they don’t get that if they release the sources they’ll get sooo much 3rd party support who will fix all their problems (GPS, FHD playback etc for some SoCs).

Sorry, I didn’t realise there were ‘rules’ as to what is discussed here… All I’m saying is from my own experience of what I’ve owned (THL : W100, W8s and T200, Zopo : ZP998) The ZP998 kicked the cr@p out of any of the THL’s there… I appreciate that I didn’t own a 5000 or the like to compare with but I feel that THL didn’t do too well with supporting any of the 3 devices and so I went elsewhere…

Rly rules? Wtf man, you feel threatened? You replied under my post so your answer must be (not) relevant to my view. You can tell your totally different thing without reply to me there is a “Join the discussion…” up there.

Therefore, yeah THL is crap, but in my opinion is in the middle of quality. There are not the worst out there

This shit doesn’t deserve 300$, not 419$. Piece of crap.

      I agree!

I’m the owner of an old ZP990 (quadcore, at the time 399 USD) and their antennas (GPS and Wifi) are garbage, so bad that they are useless.

      ZOPO never again…

      Lesson learned the hard way

Ok ZOPO is wrong but pls don’t ruin everything. We can’t say ZOPO is bad so we buy an Elephone. Elephone is a broken brand by default

        October 13, 2014

ooh please if this zopo phone was 250 bucks everyone would be on top of it. u might hate elephone but for 200 bucks and the specs you get its a good deal no matter what.

          October 13, 2014

It’s not all about the specs. It’s like getting a Zastava (or Yugo for others, car brand) and put a Lambo’s engine. Rly? run like the wind and open the windows by turning the lever. And no the problem is not that I will use a lever, the problem is that on every Zastava, the levers broke because of shitty plastic. Simply defective

And if ZOPO was 250 bucks of course everyone will buy it because it has at least 1 step better quality than elephone. In simple “value for money”.

No, I won’t: too expensive for the specs and support and life-time aso… Waiting for Nexus 6 or UINI U3 or else…

In the U.S., I can get a Moto X for $499 so for the difference in price Zopo not worth the risk especially since it won’t support U.S. 4G bands. Always have like the look of their phones, though.

Why buy the zopo when you can get the new Jiayu (eventually) with a 64 bit MTK6752 SOC 3GB RAM 16GB Storage for $100 less

Don’t buy anything from Zopo. They are a dishonest company.
I won their contest one year ago and they first acted as if they would ship
it and then stopped responding. I wrote over 40 emails to them and no
    progress.

I tried to write Andy who advertised the contest (thank you) and he also didn’t respond.

If only it had the fully blown MTK6595 processor and not that watered down cr@p… I’d have considered it then!

No way would I buy Zopo again. In fact I would go back to “normal” manufacturers rather than take a risk on Chinese phones again. My ZP998 looks good and does most things well but erratic GPS is an issue as well as poor ROM updates (I had to root to go back to March 2014 ROM after updates screwed the phone up). For a flagship device I think it is very poor that no OTA KK 4.4 update was possible. You live and learn as the saying goes
