CoolPad Bodum launched with Snapdragon 801 and dual 13 mega-pixel cameras

CoolPad are back in the limelight again today after launching their Bodum smartphone with premium features and interesting dual camera set up.

The Coolpad Bodum had been spotted recently under the codename of V1-C, the device has finally arrived now with an all new name, stunning hardware and interesting dual 13 mega-pixel rear camera set up.

Up front the Coolpad Bodum looks almost bezeless, but in fact the illusion is nothing more than clever colour choice as the 5.98-inch 2K display does in fact have small black bezels on the left and right. Below the display we wee a halo home button, made famous by Meizu and navigation buttons on either side.

The rear of the phone has an interesting dual 13 mega-pixel, dual LED flash set up which we believe is there to create depth of field and possibly also soak up more light in low light photography environments.

Under that 2K display is a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. The fable also supports GSM, 3G and 4G networks be we are waiting on full details.

The CoolPad Bodium is an interesting flagship outsider, a nice rival to the Huawei Ascend and Nubia X6.

Specs sound great, I’m just worried if the design will feel premium enough compared to other flagships
