Limited edition OPPO R7 Plus FC Barcelona Edition costs $549

Only yesterday did we come across a new variant of the OPPO R7 series, but there’s more news — good news, if you’re a football fanatic — coming your way.

The OPPO R7 Plus will now come in an FC Barecelona Edition if that suits your taste. The R7 Plus gets this new version because OPPO want to celebrate their three-year partnership with the football club.

If you do get this limited edition phone (only 5,000 units will be issued), you’ll be able to flaunt the back which features an FC Barcelona logo engraved. Besides that, you also get a water bottle, VOOC Power bank, leather case, and a selfie stick as additions which don’t feature on the regular retail set.

Gizchina News of the week

The rest of the phone is identical to the existing R7 Plus. It still comes with the Snapdragon 615 processor with 3GB RAM, 32/64GB storage, a  13 mega-pixel Sony IMX278 rear camera, 8 mega-pixel front facing camera, a fingerprint scanner on the rear and an impressive 4100mAh battery.

You’ll have to shell out US$549 for this phone, which OPPO will also be auctioning a few units of with autographs from top players.

Would have been much better if they could come up with a variant having snapdragon 808 processor. A real killer device, it could have turned out to be!

One of Europe’s best football teams partner up to be affiliated with a very mediocre mid-range smart phone…

I suddenly feel the urge to start cheering for Real Madrid CF!

Have you owned an Oppo device before? Do you what stature Oppo holds in other countries? You’re probably just another mainstream fanboy.
