A concerned dog spotted a truck full of dehydrated whimpering dogs on the high-way in and decided to do something to stop the inevitable slaughter of the poor pooches. After stopping by the truck the animal rights activist posted a short on a popular micro network,Sina's Weibo, calling for people to come and free the dogs. After a short while 200 like minded micro-bloggers turned up to block the truck driver and truck and negotiate the release of the starving and sick animals.

Eventually, with the help of a local pet food company and a donation of 140,000 Yuan ($21,500) the dogs were finally set free and are now in a clinic receiving medical care.
