The Neo N003 is the 5.3-inch, quad-core rival of both the JiaYu G4 and Umi X2, but after seeing these Antutu benchmarks we feel they have nothing to really worry about!
Quad-core Android phones from a number of domestic manufacturers are nearing launch, with the most anticipated being the JiaYu G4, UMi X2 and the Neo N003. All 3 phones offer similar specifications and will cost around $160, but it seems they aren’t all running on 4 cylinders.
Gizchina News of the week
According to previous leaked benchmarks, quad-core MT6589 phones should be scoring above 10,000 in Antutu, with many phones breaking the 12,000 and 13,000 barriers, but judging by these leaked scores the engineers over at Neo still have their work cut out for them.
Where as the JiaYu G4 (1GB RAM with quad-core MT6589 CPU) managed and impressive 12,251 the Neo N003 (1GB RAMquad-core MT6589 CPU) only reached 9866! Of course benchmarks aren’t everything and the production model could be capable of much more, but as early result go these are pretty disappointing!
Judging by how it’s running at 720p display as well, as opposed to the 1080p display on the UMI X2, I’d say this is very much disappointing, yes.
I think my choice of either the G4 or the X2 is still a safe one, till at least Neo picks up their game.
I’m sure that those are not for the NEO N003 because I’ve seen this benchmark result before for other phone and the first thing that can be mentioned is that this benchmark is made with AnTuTu version LOWER than Version 3 for sure
I think the problem really is older version of the Antutu. The newer vesion inflatated all the results.
