iOcean were the first
Chinese phone maker to launch a 5-inch,
FHD phone running on the popular
quad-core Mediatek
MT6589, now
rumours suggest the
iOcean X7 Advanced could launch by the end of this month.
News from
iOcean has been pretty quite since the
Chinese phone maker
launched the X7 Youth a few months ago. The
iOcean X7 Youth shipped with a MT6589 CPU, 1GB
RAM and 8 mega-pixel rear camera, but that's not enough for some customers who have been patiently waiting for the
Advanced version.
Rumours on Weibo now suggest that the
Advanced version of the X7 could go on
sale as early as the end of May. The X7
Advanced will come with the same Oppo Find 5 inspired body but with
2GB RAM and 13 mega-pixel rear sensor.
Although this is very much an unconfirmed rumour, the fact that the 2GB version is still being talked about will come as a relief to those of us who were beginning to think the whole idea had been forgotten about.
