FAEA F2 hands on video and photos ahead of launch

Hands on video and photos of the FAEA F2, 5-inch 1080, quad-core phone ahead of its official June 15th launch date!

The FAEA F1 Penguin, launched just a week ago. During the launch FAEA spokespeople announced that the F1 would soon be joined by the FAEA F2 with 1080 display and faster hardware. During the announcement FAEA said that they will officially launch the phone on June 15th, but didn’t show real photos of the phone only these renders.

Gizchina News of the week

As we are an impatient lot, we’re over the moon to see that Shine over at Gizmochina has managed to get his hands on an early sample of the phone where he was able to make the below hands on video.

FAEA F2 hands on video

From earlier reports we know that the FAEA F2 Penguin has a 5-inch OGS 1080 display, 5 mega-pixel front camera, 13 megapixel rear, quad-core processor and built-in NFC. All we are waiting for now is to lean the price of the new phone.

It’s great to see a Chinese phone manufacturer is able to keep a lid on their new phones and able to launch products on time. FAEA could be one’s to watch over the coming months.

on gizmochina they report 1 GB RAM and 4 GB ROM… do you thing it’s just because It’s a sample? … others sites report the same.
Did FAEA really declare 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM?

Maybe… but a 1GB/4GB version is too near FAEA F1 IMHO

This is on my list of interesting MTK phones alongside the Green Orange N1 and the Neo N003. I wonder of they will actually release the phone on the given daate and not delay it further, since that seems to be a pattern nowadays.

What are your thoughts regarding the iOcean X7 Airyl ?

The iOcean is a nice phone, but it’s just that. Me and a friend had a conversation about what makes a smartphone smart, and came to the conclusion that features and how helpful they can be are what defines them. If you look at the iOcean, it’s lacking in features like MHL, OTG, NFC, etc. Then there’s phones like the Samsung S4 which has too many features and cause bloatware. The perfect example of a feature filled phone (to me at least) is the Xiaomi M2A, with NFC, MHL, Glonass and that amazing 5GHz WiFi. But that’s just my 2cents.

If you still wonder about the price.. you can preorder it for 239 dollar shipping included, whereas the F1 i ordered cost me 160 dollar only… much value for few money on first sight so i hope quality will be okay!

It’s not so useful … it just compare aesthetic and display…
No intensive-CPU tasks comparison, no photo comparison, no features comparison (FAEA has got NFC chip, MHL, OTG… but do they work properly?), no connectivity test (wifi, GPS, Bluetooth…)

looks no touch button lights like Jiayu G4…or just cannot see in video ??

On AliExpress a china seller gives F2 in pre-sale with abnormal specs but pictures from gizmochina hands on!!!
    http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Pre-sale-Freeship-FAEA-F2-Phone-5-IPS-1920-1080-Quad-Core-MTK6589T-1-5GHZ-Android/963226888.html
great but unbelievable specs: 32GB ROM, 6-axis gyro
good and welcome specs: dual MIC w noise reduction, yamaha speakers
Price is a bit too high with respect FAEA let us understand, but still cheap with respect with those specs…

I’m really disappointed!!! I was waiting for a smartphone having:
    – 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM
    – wifi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, MHL

Now I see a new site, http://www.faeamobile.com, apparently linked to the original site but build for foreign buyers. It reports:
    – 1 GB RAM and 4 GB ROM
    – wifi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 (+EDR), no mention about MHL
    – price is a bit higher than expected 240 USD (free shipping but with no tracking number, other shipping methods availables, 10 USD for registered mail and 30 for DHL and similar…).
