GooPad have somehow secured a supply chain for the
8-core Samsung Exynos Octa 5410
processor to build their own GooPad N8,
Galaxy Tab 3 alternative.
It would be interesting to see what
Samsung makes of the GooPad N8, as it is based on the design of the Korean firm’s
Galaxy Tab 3
device and is even powered by the companies own
Octa-core chipset!
Specifications are up to the standards we are use to seeing from current Chinese tablets and include the aforementioned 1.8Ghz
CPU, 2GB RAM, 8-inch IPS
display, 8 mega-pixel rear camera, 2MP front, built-in 3G , GPS and
Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.
The
device features a single physical
home button on the front just below the display, and there are ports and expansion bays across the base of the
tablet for HDMI out, USB, SIM card and Micro SD.
With an Octa-core
CPU featuring big.LITTLE technology, performance and
battery life ae expected to be very good with some reports claiming that the Goopad N8 can reach almost 30,000 in Antutu!
The GooPad N8 isn’t up for sale just yet, however a some online resellers are offering the 8-inch tablet for pre-order at around $306.
