Xiaomi to launch their own 16 core CPU 19th December?

Someone is taking at shot at Xiaomi by creating a webpage details a spoof 16-core CPU!

We don’t know who is behind the webpage, Micpu.com, but whoever it is seems to have issues with Xiaomi’s latest launch news. The webpage lists a mythical 16-core processor which is capable of running at 5Ghz with a GTX 80 GPU. The page claims the the chipset will launch on the 19th December which also happens to be the same date the rumoured Xiaomi router is to launch.

Gizchina News of the week

So who is getting at Xiaomi and will we see any retaliation from the Beijing based phone maker?

GTX 780 is a graphic card for PC (no GTX 80)… imposible for smartphone = more of 300W for run, its a PC.

This is most likely a fake

The given data is for a workstation/server PC but there arent any 16-core CPUs built in 14nm.
The only 16-core cpu currently avaiable in the end market is an AMD Opteron but it is built in 32mn.
Intel will release “Broadwell” (which is built in 14nm) at some point in the next year but currently the “best” they offer is 22nm Ivy-Bridge-E which has 12 cores at max.

GTX780 GPU is -as already said- a high-end GPU for PCs from nvidia

I think its a shame that when the WDCMA version of the Xiaomi Mi3 launches in December it will be outdated.

This is someone repurposing a dream they had when news hit that Nvidia would be licensing it’s Kepler architecture. I believe the original was an Intel Xeon processor for enthusiasts, with built-in GTX780 GPU!

Based on the FACT that this CPU is coming out SOON and EXISTS, there is no other logical conclusion other than Xiaomi entering the heating business.
The Alleged processor will likely power xiaomi’s yet-unrevealed pocket-sized furnace , consuming up to 550 Watts of power and will run miui 4.3.
