A Tizen-powered
smartphone with model number SC-03F has managed to secure
FCC certification!
The
device, reportedly on its way to Japan's
NTT DoCoMo networks, might well be the world's
first smartphone to feature the Tizen operating system. Tizen is
Samsung's own
OS, and like
Android, is Linux-based and open-source. Not long back, a word going around suggested that Samsung's next-in-line, the
Galaxy S5 might feature the ability to dual-boot Android and Tizen.
Samsung's
first Tizen
device is expected to be showcased at the Mobile Word Congress in Barcelona next year. You can find more information on the Tizen OS
