Koobee hope to attract music lovers with the entry-level Koobee Muse M1


Koobee are the latest entrant to the price war, but their phone takes on a slight different approach by offering advanced audio at a low price.

The KooBee Muse M! weight in at just 900 Yuan with a 4.5-inch qHD display, and 1700mAh battery, but where it lacks in these areas it attempts to make up in the audio and image capture departments. On the HIFI side of the things KooBee have integrated Baidu Music in to their own music app which can stream free music through the dual external speakers via the built-in Wolfon DAC audio chip and Yamaha amplifier. Cameras are an 8 mega-pixel rear, 2 mega-pixel front with 88 degree wide angle for perfect selfies.

The rest of the hardware is on par with simlar priced phones and includes dual-SIM support, Android 4.2, 1GB RAM and a 1.3Ghz MT6582 quad-core processor. At this point only a TD-SCDMA version of the phone is available with a WCDMA 3G model in the works.
