Breaking! JiaYu S2 receives network license!

JiaYu’s super sleek JiaYu S2 octacore phone has just received its official Ministry Nework License meaning the phone will soon be on sale!

The JiaYu S2 is the second ’S’ series phone from JiaYu and the first phone from the brand to boasts an octacore MT6592 processor, 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, 2GB RAM and super thin 6mm alloy body. At least those are the official specs from JiaYu, the model seen at the ministry has different specs though suggesting there will be 2 versions of the JiaYu S2 available.

The model which received it’s network license sports a 1.2Ghz processor and 1GB RAM with 8 mega-pixel camera, meaning this would be an entry level S2 model. This version of the phone also had WCDMA support, space for a SD card and 32GB of internal memory. The JiaYu S2 measures in at just 139×67×6(mm) and weighs 135g.

Receiving a network license is one of the final steps Chinese smartphone companies perform before launching a phone. Let us hope that the JiaYu S2 launch isn’t far off.

    It’s weird that there is no JiaYu sapling logo and the words JAYU are on the back instead if JiaYu. Are they changing stuff for an international launch or something?

      Hope so and let’s pray GOD to support WCDMA-GSM-900Mhz if it’s going to be Interantion, IT defenitelly should !!!

    Why this phone don’t have UMTS 900 Mhz ??? 🙁 this phone looks awesome, but I’m not going to have full coverage here at UK with my O2 3G at my area 🙁

      What the hell ??? No WCDMA 900 Mhz support !?? Hey JIAYU are you living in the stone age ??? There should be at least WCDMA 900/2100 Mhz support, because we need it here at UK on O2 I agree with Shareen87
