New Gionee Elife E7 Mini model is the first quad-core MT6588 device

Remember the Gionee Elife E7 mini with rotating camera? Well it is back but now with a quad-core MT6588 Mediatek option.

The Elife E7 Mini launched earlier this year in India as an octacore MT6592 smartphone with 4.7-inch display and single rotating camera up top. The Elife E7 has also shown up under different brands around the world and today a new quad-core option goes on sale.

Gizchina News of the week

Not much has changed between the original Mini and this version, both have the same 4.7-inch Sharp IGZ) display, 1GB RAM and 16GB memory, however the quad-core model gets the all new Mediatek MT6588 chipset running at a whopping 1.7Ghz!

The MT6588 is the latest quad-core processor from the Taiwanese chip maker and boasts a 600mhz Mali 450MP4 GPU. Pricing is set at 1999 Yuan here in China and it is available through larger electronics stores. No news on an international launch just yet.
