Exclusive: Official specifications of the LTE JiaYu F2

JiaYu are marching in to the LTE phone market with the both the JiaYu S3 and mid-range JiaYu F2. The F2 is spotlighted this time around with the first official specs of this exciting phone.

The JiaYu F1 showed us all what JiaYu you could when working to a budget, the JiaYu F2 shows us that they can keep up with the big players with a phone with great hardware.

As already reported the JiaYu F2 will be an LTE device and will use a quad-core processor. JiaYu have specified which brand processor they will be using but it is safe to assume a quad-core MT6582 processor with MT6290 LTE modem will be their choice.

Coupled to the processor is 2GB RAM, and dual SIM support for both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE network support.

The battery is a very large 3000mAh cell, that can be removed incase you need to plug in a spare and JiaYu have teamed up with Sony to supply the 8 mega-pixel BSI CMOS rear camera. JiaYu have told us the dimensions of the JiaYu F2 but we do know the screen will be a 5-inch panel with a resolution of 1280 x 720.

Pricing and launch details will be announced in the coming weeks so keep posted!

This phone was announced in June it’s now mid October and still no firm price, specifications or release date. This must be one of the longest times from announcing a product to actually making the product. I love my G3 but its now a bit long in the tooth and want to replace it with a Jiayu LTE phone, will I be able to get one delivered in 2014!!!!

They haven’t actually announced anything until now. Those were all leaks.

Yes you are right the leaks appeared in June for this phone but normally the announcement is made shortly afterwards. The online Jiayu store (probably nothing to do with Jiayu) has had the F2 for pre-sale since June at $150.00

    6582 is soooo old.
    come on people.
in addition it’s thick like a brick.

      Yes, 6582 is pretty old.

Don’t give a single shit that it’s thick, the important thing is that it’s got a nice large battery that won’t give up half way through the day.

it’s thick like a brick to whack the likes of you in the head.

not everyone wants a ridiculously stupid powerful device for basic phone functions, a side of media entertainment and some photography.
