In the middle of next week Meizu will release their budget friendly Blue Charm phone. According to reports in China today the phone has been spotted at TENAA for network approval.

Chinese tech site Mydrivers are reporting that the Meizu Blue Charm has receive a network licnese which will allow the phone to go on sale in China. The reported TENAA documents relate to a phone named “M463M”, however we have been unable to find the listing so far.

The purported TENAA documents state that the Blue Charm note has TD-LTE, TD-SCDMA and GSM support, so this is very much a China only version of the phone. Other facts reveal a 5.5-inch 1080 display, MT6752 64bit processor, LTE, 2GB RAM and 13 mega-pixel rear camera.

Meizu are also expected to announce dual SIM support, making this the first Meizu phone to offer the feature.

It’s possible they release various versions, since China has different telecom providers with different 3G and 4G frequencies.

The dimensions of the Meizu Note are also shown in the listing, 150.7×75.2x9mm, smaller than the Xiaomi Note

    For comparison 5.5 inch phone:
    Meizu Note: 150.7 x 75.2 x 9mm
    Xiaomi Note: 154 x 78.7 x 9.5 mm
    Oneplus one: 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm

The OPO is bulky, the reference for 5.5 inch is the LG G3 at 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm and at the other end the iphone 6 Plus at 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm
Anyway, TENAA dimensions are not always accurate.

This will certainly going to nail Redmi Note. I will be surprised even if Redmi Note 2 would beat this spec wise. Also dimensions and design seems above the 1000 yuan phablet category.

Xiaomi have to release Redmi Note 2 very soon, or they will lose momentum on both China and India.
