EMUI ROM ported to the UMi Zero

Huawei’s own EMUI has been ported to the UMi Zero by a developer on the XDA forums, see it in action below.

Although UMi have been releasing ROM updates to for the UMi Zero on a frequent basis, there are still a few issues with the ROM and there is still the desire for some users to use an alternate OS. If you happen to be a fan of Huawei’s EMUI and own a UMi Zero then you are in luck as ROM developer @arcatarc has created a port for the UMi Zero.

Gizchina News of the week

Going through the forum thread created for the ROM, it appears that the EMUI ROM brings some neat features to the UMi Zero which owners may well like. One of the big advantages is the inclusion of DTS sound, and the fact the ROM apparently fixes the random reboot issue which has been reported.

Currently the ROM has will need to be installed manually but UMi promise to include it in their UMi Tool at launch for easier and cleaner installation.
