No.1 M2 promises to be a sweet Lollipop rugged phone

no.1 m2 rugged phone

No.1 have sent over a couple of videos of their latest rugged smartphone the No.1 M2.

Over the past 12 months a lot has changed in the Android rugged phone market. Gone are the rubber bricks of old with tiny screens and low-resolution cameras, and instead we are getting phones with good pricing, nice features and the latest version of Android.

No.1 seem to have been focussing on rugged devices for the start of this year and have released official details of their latest model the M2. The M2 is aimed at the entry-level market with a rumoured price tag of less than $100.

Specification high-lights for the No.1 M2 include a 4.5-inch display, 2400mAh battery, quad-core processor, 13 mega-pixel main camera, 5 mega-pixel front and Android 5.0 Lollipop as standard. Keeping the costs low the phone will have WCDMA only and 1GB RAM.

Gizchina News of the week

As you would expect the No.1 M2 will be fully waterproof and shock proof (to IP68). To prove just how rugged the M2 is No.1 have sent us a couple of videos to share showing how the phone can survive being submerged in water and a tumble down concrete stairs.

The 144 x 76 x 14.5mm phone will be available in bright orange, black or bright green. More specification details can be found over on the No.1 website.

I just received the No. 1 X2, two days ago. It is the nicest fastest china phone I have purchased and I have purchased about 20 models so far. The GPS worked immediately in the USA thanks to no MTK processor.

The phone acts like my Samsung Note 3 for which I paid $800 off contract for when it came out.

I also have the No.1 S7, which seems slow to compared to the X2. The No.1 S7 also still hasn’t found any GPS after 2 weeks of use. I have tried everything on that MTK 6582 phone and still not GPS 🙁
