If you are enjoying a long weekend for the easter and you have a OnePlus One then why not spend a few moments installing the much anticipated OxygenOS ROM?
With the OnePlus and CyanogenMod relationship on a seemingly rocky road, it meant that smartphone maker was in dire need for its own Android ROM to run on the flagship killer and up coming Android devices.
The result is OxygenOS, a ROM designed and developed from the OnePlus Team (after hiring key Paranoid Android members) for use specifically on the OnePlus One. OxygenOs features a whole new UI experience and comes with many of the features we are used to using on other phones (gestures, customizations, etc). More features of OxygenOS can be seen in the video below:
Gizchina News of the week
So if you have a OnePlus One and want to test the new system then head over to the ColorOS pages here download it and follow the installation guide. Let us know if you intend to install it and let us know your feedback.

Haven’t seen something new on the video
“OxygenOS Top Features” – shows File Manager and screen gestures.
Damn, you got some innovatory technology, OnePlus.
this is how it’s done, vanilla Android skins for the win ! many people appreciate stock look and feel. don’t need 300 extra gimick featuresnthat I’ll never use.
yes hardware features , not some gimmicky gallery apps ,launchers and dialers , you have thousands of them on the play store.
they’ll obviously add slight tweaks from paranoid android like themes, halo, notifications etc. but it’ll be like stock look and feel, which is good thing.
color O.S , Gionee amigo UI , emotion UI do we rally need all that laggy/ gimmicky stuff made by chinese interns at night. I’m sorry but these companies aren’t software developers , they are hardware companies. let google do the software, they are better at that than. they have a multi-million dollar software team.
Google uses Java to develop OS, and that says it all.
It is a miracle that Android became so popular, probably there was no other OS to compete with(apart iOS).
There was Windows CE and Symbian before Android, what are you talking about?
Android is an example of success of the open source project using Linux kernel.
Even Microsoft can’t compete with them.
At this point, for the features all the OS can offer, nobody can’t compete with Android, not even iOS.
well yes , if only Apple licensed iO.S to everyone , it would have become like Windows for phones, but they didn’t , So google beat microsoft and became king of mobile along with Apple , cause as much as google software is not as good as Apple rants , Microsft is even worse yet dominates the desktop market , Apple and it’s closed eco-system will never dominate, but kudos to Apple for being on top for so many years. I’m a fan of steve jobs too.
Microsoft is losing ground every day in the desktop market to 4 things: Android/iOS (tablets), OSX and Chrome OS. The days of M$oft having full and total control over the PC landscape is vastly disappearing. Apple will always have their loyal following, they don’t need to dominate to be successful they are a closed system designed specifically for Apple users and fans. They make billions they are not worried about dominating.
In addition, ms making more money than ever from patents because of competition, no need to fight for / regain control.
MS has been losing more money than ever recently. The Surface was one of the biggest disasters the company has ever had, over a $2 Billion loss. Nokia and Xbox One also significant losses for M$oft last year.
Like I said, their patents is their main source of income
Google uses a mixture of C and C++ . That’s why there’s a need of the likes of Dalvik machine to interpret the Java bytecode of the *apps*.
Apps use Java, not android , get your facts straight…
a smartphone is not for features, a dumb phone is – that’s why they call it feature phone. Lol
