Bluboo Xtouch will feature 2.5D suspended screen design

Bluboo say that they have come to the best solution for screen protection by using a suspended sapphire glass panel on the all new Bluboo XTouch.

The Bluboo Xtouch is one of the phones that has me intrigued. It has a specification list that reads like a Android phone lovers wish list, and the details that are being released are getting juicy all the time.

Today we were treated to Bluboo’s latest teaser which tells us the Xtouch will feature a Sapphire glass panel with 2.5D curve in a suspended arrangement on the 5.5mm phone. Now that all sounds a little complicated but in fact it is all pretty simple.

Gizchina News of the week

What Bluboo are calling a suspended display is basically similar to a recessed bezel design similar to what we find on the OnePlus 2. It basically means the glass panel is slightly more inboard than the metal frame and less likely to hit against the floor when landing from a drop.

This added protection plus Sapphire glass could mean a nearly indestructible screen for the Xtouch.

The Bluboo Xtouch will come with an alloy chassis, finger print scanner, 3050mAh battery, 4GB RAM and Mediatek Helio X10 chipset.

Hmm… Nice to read it on paper, but I wonder how it will look like in reality? From the above image, it looks like the screen is pushed upwards from the base part, or? Seems I have difficult time imagining it…

Right now, I only want to know when it will be released for sales. If the promises of the past months are all to be true, it would wipe out the over-hyped OnePlus 2 in an eye blink.

What I’m most interested to know is how they managed to fit such a large battery into such a thin body.

Sapphire glass? Really? I seriously doubt it, but let’s wait and see.

Now that Redmi Note 2 is a thing, around $220-250 is the absolute maximum I’d pay for this phone. $300 will make this DOA.
