As the most informed of you might know, the upcoming Elephone Z1 will feature the massive amount of 6GB of RAM. Now, Elephone is asking people if they think this amount of RAM is actually practical or just a gimmick.
The Elephone Z1 will come with 6GB of DDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage, that should be pretty much the most you need right now and for the following years. Elephone say the Z1 can run 40 apps at the same time without any lag. Avoiding to resort to additional software to clear you RAM and keeping the device fast.

Depends on the 40 apps Elephone is talking about. You cant run that many games at the same time even on 8GB RAM phone.

40 apps????????? This is crazy man! unbelievable. very much challenging, can they make it happen?
Sure it can run that many small apps. But only without ram management. And without ram management, battery life would be crap. Not really practical.
Its always going to be a trade between battery life and background apps.

Well, since we saw OUKITEL U15S running 52 apps at the same time with only 4 GB of RAM, what can we say here…
Sure it can run that many small apps. But only without ram management. And without ram management, battery life would be crap. Not really practical.

Then those apps will eat the battery, what about the battery capacity? we don’t only want a lg free device but a device with more juice.

Nah. My Symbian’s smartphone can run 30 apps with 512mb ram without lag 10 years ago. The most important thing is RAM management.
