LG G6 to get facial recognition feature in June, along with LG Pay update

It seems that LG strives in order to provide their LG G6 flagship with all the relevant features in order to face the fierce competition from Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ models. That’s why the Korean company plans to equip their flagship model with facial recognition support, a feature scheduled to be released via update in June, along with the official launch of the LG Pay service.

LG will once again cooperate with facial recognition solutions firm Oez to deploy a 3D face-scanning technology used by LG Pay customers. This way they will be able to pay for goods and/or services just by looking at the phone, in an instant. It’s not the first time LG and OEz have cooperated in the past, since the two companies worked together in bringing contactless biometric technology to other LG devices such as the V20 and the G5.

So if you’re excited about your new LG G6 model, I bet you’ll be thrilled to update it when June comes. Or not?
