MGCOOL have just announced that the recently launched Explorer Pro action camera with Sharkeye lens will be sold with a 2-year warranty straight from the Chinese manufacturer, that is one more than what you’d normally get.
MGCOOL say they will repair your Explorer Pro for any problems caused by manufacturing defects happening within 24 months. Thus giving you quite a long time for using the camera without worrying of it suddenly breaking.
The MGCOOL Explorer Pro will also be on sale at the incredibly low price of $39.99 on what MGCOOL calls “Global Spot Sale” that will take place from May 11th to May 31st. So you could be getting a camera for just $39.99 and a 2-year warranty.

Specs wise, the MGCOOL Explorer ProĀ features a 2-inch display, an Allwinner V3 processor, Sony IMX179 image sensor and usesĀ a Sharkeye wide angle lens that allows you to captureĀ videos up to 170-degrees with reduced distortion.
The Explorer Pro can also shoot 4K videos at 30fps and take 16MP images, The 1050mAh battery will let your record about 100 minutes of 4K videos.
Overall the MGCOOL Explorer Pro appears to be a great action cam for newcomers that do not want to invest too much on it, but would like to record 4K videos nonetheless, the two years is just the icing on the cake. I agree on the statement that this camera is great for new starters as it’s cheap but still has a lot of functions, so people can try them out and find what they like the best even if they haven’t got a professional camera
